Recovery Tools

These tools are practical techniques used in our Reset & Recover programme. They are designed to interrupt harmful patterns, support healthier decision-making, and build personal accountability.

When you join Reset & Recover, you get access to the What We Think app. The app brings the tools, the videos, and the supporting material together in one place, so you can use them between sessions, in the moments they actually matter. It is members-only – access is given to you by the team when you are on the programme.

The tools in the app

  • Name IT – identify what’s actually happening in the moment
  • Pattern Interruption – break the loop before it takes over
  • The Opponent – work with the part of you pulling against recovery
  • Step Back – create distance and perspective in difficult moments
  • Play It Out – think a decision through to the end before acting
  • Damage Report – honest reflection after a setback

Each tool is a structured technique that fits into everyday life. They are introduced and practised in the weekly group, then made available in the app so you can return to them whenever you need to.

Videos and supporting material

Alongside the tools, the app holds short videos that explain each concept in plain English, plus prompts, reflections and the wider programme content. It sits in the app for as long as you are part of the programme.

How to get access

Access to the app comes with joining Reset & Recover. The first step is to reach out. A real person will get back to you with the practical details, and once you join the programme the team will set you up with the app.
